This blog was created to inspire dialogue and motivation that will stop the killing of healthy, adoptable animals at the Lehigh County Humane Society in Allentown, PA. This blog can be a sounding board for all to voice concerns and experiences. Conversations will have an impact beyond our own words. What results come from our collective compassion is unlimited. Let's speak up for the animals dying in the Lehigh County Humane Society. If we don't - who will?

I'm very familiar with what happens at the Lehigh County shelter....this summer I had a cat from my yard that was young, I took her to the shelter , thinking she could be adopted. The nest day I found out that she had three kittens inthe area. I called the shelter to inform them, that I would be bringing at least three little kittens to their mother, when I arrived at the shelter, I was informed that the mother was not available. I went bulistic, I couldn't believe what they had done. I did work out a way to have the kittens spayed and neutered, and found them all homes, there were 4 kittens.I don't think the people that work there have anything behind their cold eyes, I would not do what they do for all the money on earth.
